Pomegranate Sour
Welcome back to Drest Drink! It's hard to not love a good cocktail, they taste great and they bring us together. Whether you love a classic cocktail or you’re always looking for something new, we have something for you! This Thursday we stuck with a classic, the “sour.”
A sour is a versatile cocktail that is particularly characterized by three key components: a spirit, a sour (usually a citrus), and a sweetener. This is a base for a perfect cocktail and leaves lots of room to make it your own. Lots of people think of a whiskey sour when they hear of a “sour” cocktail but lots of popular cocktails are sours, such as margaritas and daiquiris.
Today we want you to join us in making a Pomegranate Sour. A super simple and easy cocktail to make consisting of only 5 ingredients you probably already have.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz vodka
- 2 oz pomegranate juice
- 1 oz fresh lemon juice
- ½ oz simple syrup
- 1 egg white
Instructions:
- Add vodka, pomegranate juice, lemon juice, simple syrup and egg white into a cocktail shaker, without ice. The egg white is optional, but I prefer it since it gives a creamy foam. Shake well.
- After the dry shake, add ice into the shaker, and shake well again.
- Strain into a chilled glass and enjoy!
Cheers,
Katherine
